To perform a smudge ceremony do the following:
1. Set your intention
2. Open windows and doors
3. Light sage for at least 30 seconds in order to produce enough smoke
4. Place sage in shell or ceramic receptacle to avoid washing.
5. Move in a clockwise motion around the room reciting your intention either aloud or silently.
6. Tune into the space to feel when it shifts into a lighter more harmonious feeling.
